27 Jun 2006Does anybody have a spare bike they’re not using in the near future?
It occured to me that I have quite a few common tasks that require some mobility – gaming sessions, guitar lessons, even visits to my parents in Jaffa – that I currently do on foot or by car. I figured that if I had a bike, I could save some time instead of walking, get some exercise instead of driving, and generally have a little change of lifestyle.
I don’t want to go out and spend money on a bike, though, until I know I’ll actually ride it. I used to be able to when I was little, and we know what they say about it, but we also know that they lie, so I want a trial period first – a couple of weeks at most.
Anyone got anything like that lying around?

I have Avshalom’s old bike

So you’re saying you carried them dozens of kilometers southwards just for the pleasure of looking at them?
If you’re using them, I shan’t deprive you of their presence.

You’ll be amazed-
but yes. It was to years ago, I was young, I thought I needed the bike, now, following an accident I was in six months ago or so, I’ve chosen to stop biking again and resume the walking business which served me well for twenty odd years.
Now, I’m not sure the bikes’ are worth the price of the gass to come here- they are old- still.
