ijon pointed me in the direction of ljArchive, a program that downloads your entire LJ history to a local file and allows you to work on it locally.
I originally wanted it in order to search old entries of mine and catalog them, but it also has several cute plug-ins that can analyze your LJ. Some are odd (like the Regressive Imagery Analyzer, which does a semantic search and tells you how much you write about sex, anxiety or consciousness as compared to other LJ users of your gender and age-group), and some are fun, like the Word Count Analyzer which shows me that the most popular words in my LJ entries are “music” (59 times), “fun” at 43 and “bowie” at 34.

Anyone surprised?
Didn’t think so.
