Both me and my flatmate are entirely incapable of estimating weights, heights and measurements.
Thus, we had no reason to assume that the half-kilo of ground beef we bought yesterday morning was anything but.

Got home now, after he’d already started cooking. It seems that the guy in the supermarket didn’t quite hear the word “half” in our request.

As we speak, a whole kilogram of ground beef is in a pot in our kitchen, after having swallowed the insides of a large eggplant, an onion, three quarters of a bottle of soy sauce, and various amounts of salt, pepper, paprika, cinnamon, curry powder, crushed chili peppers and anything else we fed to the monster brewing in there.

We are afraid.
